About CPT

WHO WE ARE
The Corporation for Public Technology is an Information Technology and technical assistance company dedicated to helping public sector agencies, organizations and not-for-profit groups increase their overall effectiveness. We provide technology training and assistance, organizational technology development and technology consulting services to municipalities, city and state governments and agencies, public-safety and law enforcement agencies, schools and school systems, libraries and community service organizations.

OUR MISSION
CPT is dedicated to facilitating public sector effectiveness and increasing the public benefit. Our primary mission is to help our clients locate, evaluate, develop, learn and apply technology and information systems in ways that make sense for their agency, department or organization, their staffs and those they serve. To further this mission, CPT works to establish and advance public-private partnerships and regional collaborations complementing and supporting local efforts.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
At the heart of our mission is our core philosophy which relies upon the program and goal-driven use of technology. At CPT we think people and their organizations should drive technology-based solutions -- not be driven by them. Experience has shown us that effective and sustainable technology and information systems solutions are most likely to emerge in cities, towns, agencies, police departments, schools, school systems and libraries with a clear understanding of their purpose, goals and needs, and the needs of the people they serve.

CPT STAFF
In order to achieve its mission CPT maintains a staff of experienced professionals and associates who are cross-functionally trained in a wide variety of disciplines and areas including information technologies, public policy & administration, organizational development, education, business and communications.
